PUBLIC WORKS

Numerous and noteworthy relevant are the great paintings, most about religious theme, fulfilled by the Maestro for the churches and the abbeys. Most of them are frescoes like the premiers “Cena in Emmaus” and “La vecchina” in the church S. Michele Arcangelo of Pontebuggianese, like the Crocifissione", the "Resurrezione di Lazzaro", the"Madonna col bambino", the"Natività" and the "Poveri" in the chuch S. Francesco of Montecatini, or le "Nozze di Cana" and the "Crocifissione" in the chuch of Salesiani of Figline Valdarno.

But we also find some large “tempera” paintings like the altar piece of "San Pietro" and "San Paolo" inside the Abbey of Montecassino, whereas in the latter’s refectory stands a huge fresco representing the “Ultima Cena”. The great fresco achievements also include the large cupolas of the Migliana and Tavola churches in the province of Prato.

The frescoes dedicated to the character of San Francesco for the Sanctuary of la Verna and the fresco “La Natività” in the church of San Vittore at La Radicosa (Frosinone)were realised more recently. From April 2001, an arrangement was attributed to the large painting of cm. 100x200 depicting San Antonio inside St. Anthony Church in Almanden Valley (California). A particular assignment for Laura Biagiotti who realized the covering in 2009 on the occasion of the “cordonata” of the Campidoglio’s restoration.

The pictorial circle dedicated to San Giovanni Gualberto’s life, patron of the Corpo Forestale (forest corp), for the Abbey of Vallombrosa’s cloister deserves a distinguishing mention. The work consisted in realizing 22 “lunette” (moon-shaped support) by using the technique of “tempera grassa” which committed the artist over a long-lasting period and ever since only 18 of them have been achieved. The large painting “La predica degli uccelli” (cm.180 x 220) inside the Cappella delConvento of the Cappuccini of Pisa. Over the same period, the Maestro is committed in relising the fescoes in the Church of the Transfiguration ad Orleans (Cape Cod-Massachusetts).
